OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND MODERN BUILDINGS
Many of Britain’s most recent spectacular structures, which have won architectural acclaim, contain steel curved by bending specialists Angle Ring.
The ability to produce giant curved steel tubes and beam sections has led to their steel-shaping expertise being sought by architects and construction companies worldwide. Angle Ring’s creative skills and experience in steel fabrication have contributed to the construction of breathtaking buildings around the world. From newly created British landmarks such as Gatwick Airport’s new passenger footbridge and Portsmouth’s stunning Spinnaker Tower, through to acclaimed international projects such as a series of architecturally astounding leisure and hotel developments in the Middle East, all have achieved their astonishing visual impact due greatly to Angle Ring’s ability to manufacture its extraordinary curved steel beams, tubes and sections.
Angle Ring’s eight acre manufacturing centre at Tipton in the West Midlands is regularly visited by pioneering architects and visionary clients looking for ever larger and more complex steel frameworks to help them conjure up and shape tomorrow’s award-winning structures.
Jason Jones, a technical sales engineer for Angle Ring said, “It certainly gives variation to our work, one day we are working on spool bends for a sub sea riser, the next a hotel in Bahrain. Our most complex work was always in the power generation markets, but with modern sculptures and buildings we are being challenged in all areas”.
With companies and organisations around the world rivalling each other to create increasingly bigger, better, bolder and more breathtaking new buildings as their international HQs, the path to Angle Ring’s door is set to stay well travelled into the future.
