Press Braking on Demand

Angle Ring have recently taken on and qualified more operatives for their range of heavy press-braking machinery. 3 large press brakes are operated at Angle Rings Tipton facility ranging from a 6 metre bed at 800 tonnes through to a 10 metre bed with an impressive 1200 tonne capacity.

The range of Bronx made machines were purchased from Bentham international, which closed in 2000 and have been working productively since, offer the capability to form plates up to 25mm thick in the full 10,000mm lengths.

Paul Middleton of Angle Ring commented The machines are a tremendous asset to our section & plate bending capacity, but skilled operators for these sizes of machine are difficult to come by, we are proud to have some of the best operators working for us, and continue to develop internal staff to allow us to cover the increased demand we have seen recently

The machinery was used by Bentham International to produce specialist pipes in a range of materials including Super Duplex & exotic alloys. Angle Ring have continued with this work, but also utilise the Bronx machines to service a wide range of industries from aluminium plate to make carbon-fibre lay-on tools used in the aerospace industry, to bespoke structural sections used in construction.
